Kings Marine Products (KMP) was founded in 1984 as a merchant exporter of Sea Foods by Mr T.M. Varghese ( Monachan) a Civil Engineer. T.M.Varghese was by then already a pioneering doyen in the Seafood industry and KMP was his proprietary venture to stand on his own feet. He went on to buy the factory that he had been leasing in 1988. Ever since KMP has been situated at that spacious and scenic site on the banks of the Ashtamudi Lake.

Kings Marine Products is well into its second generation of entrepreneurial zeal. It’s now headed by its new Owner and CEO Manoj T Varghese a Mechanical Engineer who had been assisting his father for over thirty years.

KMP has grown in international reputation from strength to strength and today KMP’s brands Kings, Queens, Vinitha and Kings Spirit are among some of India’s finest and elite brands for raw Seafood in the fresh and frozen segments in the international markets.

KMP has a state of the art modern processing factory that is certified to export to US, Europe, China and most other countries around the world. It boasts of a big range of products from the conventional Block and Blast frozen to the latest Individually Quick Frozen products. Its products and processes are HACCP Compliant and is BRC certified. KMP has a fleet of insulated and refrigerated trucks that help to bring in iced raw material from the hundreds of fishing hamlets and fishing harbours that dot the coasts of Kerala and TamilNadu. KMP is ideally located at one of the most important fishing centres Kollam which is equidistant to both the East and West coasts of Southernmost coastal India. KMP has achieved self sufficiency in Cold storage capacity and Ice production thereby creating a value chain that it has total control over. This has ensured all raw material purchased on the sea shore or farms by its own personnel will be handled all the way till the frozen containers are loaded by their own workers at their own cold storage thereby achieving total control at all times on the product quality and safety.

KMP has a state of the art In House Laboratory to ensure product safety from Hazards like presence of Bacteriological pathogens and antibiotic contamination. KMP’s mantra is to produce the best raw seafood from India always adhering to its “Quality over Quantity” principle. KMP always believes it has to produce the best possible quality at any cost.
